Changed my belt on the weekend with no problems. Only advice I would pass on would be to use the longest 15mm spanner you can find or use a pipe to extend a shorter spanner. It makes the moving of the tension arm really easy and keeps you clear of the fan.

I always use a 15mm socket on a 3" extension with a breaker bar. The fan blades are spaced a little farther apart at one location and the socket/extension fits through that opening perfectly.
