Default Retrofit / Aftermarket Towing Mirrors?

Hello Good People,

Curious to know if anyone has switched out their door mirrors for something a bit larger?
I like the towing mirrors on the newer Rovers but not their $!
Would anyone know of a bolt on setup from another truck that would would match ours?

Thanks

Thinking I'd like the look of these Defender mirrors on my D1 - https://www.roversnorth.com/parts/mt...onvex_defender
wondering about wind noise though...

Ol ya I did peep these, they look very nice. I want as close to a plug-n-play as possible.
I can deal with a little wind noise.

Hello Everyone,
Just an update to my first post.
It took more time looking at the bolt patterns of many truck mirrors as not to put too many additional holes in the truck. In the end I found a cheap set of Dodge Ram 1500 towing mirrors on eBay.
Measure up everything and drilled on hole on each door. These mirrors also fold in a vertical position for towing.
So far I can see more, and if its not my thing I can take them off in less than 1hr.
The glass mirror view is 11x8.5

Thanks

This is cool, looks almost stock folded in. Did you end up keeping them? Easy to hook up the electronics? How is the fit and finish at the mounting location?

Yes they are still on the truck without any issues.
The model of mirrors I used are not the electronic version.
The fit and finish is not an exact fit. The mirror slightly overlap the mounting slightly on the sides. After getting them bolted on I filled in any gaps with some black weatherproof filler.

They look pretty good. Nice mod. What was the motivating force for wider mirrers? Do you tow?

Thanks for sharing.

I just wanted to see more out of the mirror with less blind spots. I was originally looking to install some D90 mirrors but after doing some research it seems as though those side mirrors break down a bit more over time due to their design.

I like stock at times and other times I enjoy customizing the truck.
