Which rotors (non-vented or vented)?
I think i need new rotors for my Disco (need to resurface mine, but if minimum thickness cannot be less then 13mm??? - then need to buy new)
I have found 2 different rotors, one vented and one not-vented (just like OEM). My suspision is that vented will be too thick, but wanted to make shure by asking for some opinion.

First of all, why do you think you need rotors, be specific?
Second Rover rotors are to thin to resurface so that isn't an option and I believe only non-vented rotors were ever made for the front and rear of D1's, D2's have vented front rotors.

This is what I put on mine:

Been on there two years with no problems.

I have seen so many different material pads lately, I wonder which is the best overall.
I don't put a lot of miles on my Disco currently, but when I do get off-road, I would like the best pad available on it. Any suggestions Mike?

Yes, i was not sure about resurfacing seeing how there is stamp on rotor ...13mm min... but auto value did it for $8 regardless.
My rotors are fairly rusted. On the side that faces engine - half of surface which contacts brake pad is rusted .
Slightly better then shis one:

(pick is not of actual rotor from my car)

Land Rover stock rotors are not made to be resurfaced, so why waste your money. Get you a good quality set of rotors and some good quality pads, you don't have to get real exotic unless you just want to spend a lot of money.
If your rotors are that badly corroded what do the calipers look like? What about the brake lines and fuel lines, they all are prone to severe corrosion damage.

That looks horrible. I put cross drilled non-vented on mine and did notice an increase "bite" especially when the rotors are wet. There is controversy on the cooling effects of cross-drilled vs solid though. I have warped two sets of solid rotors (grandmother drove vehicle and rode brakes). We will see how these fare, but I may keep her out of the car as rotor changes are a pain in these things.
The way the terrain is around where I live, I use second and third gear depending on the slope and speed limit to avoid having to ride the brakes.
I have a lot of descents that it will coast pretty fast in Drive, so I select 3rd on most , 2nd on the steep ones and let the gearing control the speed and just use the brake when needed to stop. I like to let it coast and blip the throttle as needed. My brakes look like new.
