Default Separate trans from motor...

So, I have done this once, but can't remember what the deal was.

Do I only need to remove all of the bolts around the bell housing on the trans to separate the trans from the motor? Or do I also have to open up the access plate and remove the bolts on the torque converter?

Thanks

All the bolts between the transmission bellhousing and the engine. All the small bolts that hold the inspection cover in place. The four bolts that secure the torque convertor to the flex plate. And, of course the transmission mount to the frame. Be very careful when you remove the four bolts on the torque convertor. Access is limited and it's easy to strip the a bolt. If you have issues with a leaky oil pan gasket or think there's a lot of sludge built up in the pan it might not be a bad time to remove it for better access to the bolts on the convertor.

I forgot to mention undoing the cooler lines but I doubt you'd miss that.
