Default Service info

Hey there I just got a disco 93 the when I start the engine, it it’s revving up high and my service engine light is on This thing’s been sitting at somebody’s ranch they just use it to drive around it and it on on their property so it’s kind of dirty and gritty. Just wondering if I should just get new plugs and wires and that sort of thing it’s the year of 3.9and a distributor cap.

Always a good idea to start with a tune up when a car is new to you. Plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fluids, etc.

Service engine light is a 'make appt with dealer' light. There is a relay on the passenger side kick panel to remove and throw away.

High rev could be an intake air leak among other things.

Good luck with the new ride. We are happy to help. Manuals are in my signature.
