Default Service Cost Estimate ???

I am looking to have the following service done to my 03 Disco

change coolant, transmission service, and change plugs.

I have the parts and fluids and was wondering how many labor hours this job should take? If anyone has a guess on what it would cost that would help me out.

Thanks
Rob

it depends on if they remove the IM to do the plugs or not. that will add 4 hours to your labor cost. all of these are very easy to do yourself.

Lets start over, how many miles on your truck and what major services have been done in the past?

it has 61000 miles and it has had most of the 60000 mile service done by myself with some help!! The rest of the service will be done in the next few months. I wanted to get the big ones out of the way sooner than later.

Do the work your self,
Coolant change, apx. $20
Tune up with plugs and wires, apx. $150
Tranny fluid, apx. $45
If you have a shop do the work, it will cost you at least $400 more in labor.

the coolant and tranny fluid are easy. you should def do those yourself.

plugs will be harder from what i understand. most rover shops will charge $600-$750 to do the plugs because they remove the intake manifold. you can do with without removing the manifold with instructions in the sticky. most people say 2-3 hours.

edit: woops i typed plugs but meant wires.

When your friend gets thirsty again, have him do the wires, it will make a huge difference in performance and you will get misfires if you try and let them go to 100K.
