I saw a guy on youtube replace a Jeep automatic shifter **** with a zombie #walkingdead. It looked pretty sweet, I am totally going to redo mine soon as I figure out something cool enough/worthy to be my custom shifter. Im curious if anyone has a custom or aftermarket **** & if they used an adapter, what kind was it.

The jeep push-button in the video looks like it is just a plastic rod inside the metal shifter arm that releases a catch by moving downward when the when you push the button, allowing you to move the shifter.

Mine is ridiculously more complex, where the button is depressed and some flip-action thing pulls an inner rod upwards inside the metal shaft and it is that action that releases whatever so you can shift.

So, adapter? Modification of whats there...? Im not sure.
