How do i remove the shifter ****, from 95 disco, with automatic trans

 

Squeeze the shift release and pull straight up.

 

on top of the **** you either have fake wood, or a thing with lots of bumps.

slide a utility knife under this and it should pop up.

then there is a clip that is holding the button on the side into the main shaft. remove the clip and the button on the side.

then pull up while twisting the **** side to side
