Shock ID
I have yellow old man emu shocks on my d1. The previous owner had them installed. I can't remember what style/model they are. I need new tires. The current tires are bfg at 265/70 16. I want to know if I should get same size since the rub or something different.
Are the springs yellow or black?
I just bought a 98' D1 that had OME yellow shocks and black springs. I noticed and measured that the car was 1.75" taller than my stock D1, I switched the suspension over and the shocks were almost .5" shorter out of the car, but actually lifted the car. It seems it was because they a stiffer. The only give away was that the front shocks had a small tag on them that said OME(the back ones had nothing), but the kits I see online have yellow springs, that is why I ask.
I think I measured from the center cap to fender lip(front wheels) and stock height was approx 18.25" and now its close to 20"(with 235/70/16 tires).
Hope that helps.

My shocks are yellow they are bilstien, need more then yellow as a discription, look for a decal or something stamped near the bottom mount of the shock also look for paper tag on the spring or some paint
The shocks are very hard to compress but a person can compress them so you are not getting lift from just plain shocks
