I'm not sure and I no longer work there so I can't go look. It's a very uncommon combination, the truck was less than a year old last year so it's a 2011 model IH.

No doubt, hijacked thread alert.

The DI t-case is solid as a ships anchor, people have filled it with ATF (what every American t-case uses) and ran it for years.
Others have ran it bone dry, seized the bearings on the output shafts, filled it back up and kept going.
The only problem with the DI t-case is it is prone to leaks and gear lash from wear.
If it has power seats you cant go manual or vis versa, the floor panels are different.
But if you are tall you can get more leg room by taking the seat tracks and turning them 180*, this will give you 6" more leg room.
Short guys like me dont do that, we have the seat all the way forward.
All RRC's came with 4 wheel SLS (self leveling suspension) and at this age it should have been converted to springs.
Take your time and find a good runner, the rest is a non issue.
So what do people do when the power seats fail....I assume at some point they do. Seems odd to me that the floor pan is different, not very well thought out. Is this the case for both RRC and DI?

Thanks for all the info, this is extremely helpful.

Cheers.

Nope, not for the last three months. I went back to my roots, I work on high tech equipment for a local fruit processor. Laser sorting, dryer, and all the PLC's you could choke a horse on. There is so much automation I'm in heaven, even the syrup is transfered by PLC. I just went through an 8 hour introduction to our Best laser sorter on Friday and I'll be the guru in the coming months. All ex military hierarchy, I fit like a glove. The training is bar none the best. Company is 5 years young and growing like crazy.

As long as you dont swamp the motors they dont go bad, its the switches that go bad, but then you just swap RH to LH and you're good to go, if they do go bad you can rebuild them.

I dont know about the RRC floor pan, but yes, the DI floors are different.

I'd be glad to look it over for you.......

Same width, just as tight.

Interlochen, suburb of TC. Northport, M22 point of interest.

I grew up in Livonia, partied in Brighton, Northville, Novi, Farmington, F Hills, Bloomfield Hills, Birmingham.....blah blah blah

When I worked for HP as a Unix Admin in 07 I lived in West Bloomfield on Pleasant Lake and worked in Dearborn, right across from the Ford HQ. Better times back then........left down there when the economy tanked and jobs went elsewhere. Moved near my family since they all moved up here. I now live on Indian Lake which road adjoins with Spider Lake.

If you head over to Land Rovers Only .com Army Rover has his Hunter for sale in Chicagoland. It's mod'd up right. He just bought a 110 wagon so I'm sure he'd be interested in offers.
Lol, suburb. It's amazing how much it's grown from TC to Interlochen since I was a kid there. I had a buddy that lived on Spider Lake for a while, had a helluva summer there one year, lucky I remember any of it.

Yes, that white one is the one I was talking about. I may take you up on that offer but I may be heading up that way in the not too distant future, I'll see what my plans are and ping you, thanks for the offer.

Cheers.

Honestly it's not the floor pans but the seat mounts that changed. They went from being bolted through the floor to spot welded risers.

It's very different here than when I used to come up. It's incredible how much it's changed. I loved it the way it was. What hasn't changed is how open folks are. The most sincere people in the world live in Northern Michigan.

Here's a question I meant to ask............the Disco has that center locking diff, does the RRC have this too? Is it all that beneficial and worth having or no? Seems like it would be a nice thing to have but I'm only going to be doing general off roading, not crawling or anything too crazy.

Thanks.

Jack
