yesterday evening my water pump started pissing coolant out of the weephole. Of course it couldnt happen earlier in the day where i can get a new one ordered at my local parts house.. nooo that would be too easy. Got up today and went to the junkyard, found a few d1's. One had a load space cover, and it was the uber rare rear a/c version which i've been looking for since i got the truck. Found a truck that had clean coolant and what appeared to be a recent wp so i pulled it and as well as a couple of sun visor clips and a TPS for the spares bin.

Yesterday I pulled off the third steel rope setup from my winch and finally went synthetic - I picked up 3/16" lift . Earlier this week I knocked some rust off the really old, unknown mfg rear bumper and shot it in Rustoleum truck bed liner (I like the look of that stuff) to see if I can get a couple more years out of it (already has some small holes showing). Today was a good bath - one day I'll get around to buffing it back out and making it look bright red again.

Took apart front blower motor assembly to figure out what the "whine" was... A leave somehow got down the intake when I had the hood open last weekend.... It was quite fun trying to move the blower motor around the wires!

He is talking about the load space cover! Most of them are for the non a/c trucks.

Sorry guys I've been gone :P but I'm back!

Today I found my lovely Claire to be leaking coolant, I blame the visiting family and their bad luck but hush hush.., so I look under and thought it was the trans cooler line. After some tinkering and cussing I realized the pipe was bent towards the radiator on the drivers side and rubbed it to death. I had a pin sized *****. So I went to my local Lowes and bought a propane tank torch and some solder and flux and attempted to weld it shut, no bueno. So in the end I JB Kwik Welded the hole and my dad broke my plastic radiator cap in the process of filling my radiator up after draining. Tomorrow I hit the store to buy a temporary brass 1/2" pipe end plug and o-ring and ordering a new one and o-ring from Rovah Farm. Gotta love the Rover.

Yup, every one that i've seen in the last 6 months at the junk yard have been for non rear ac trucks. now i just need to find a loadspace matt for a rear ac truck and will be good to go. I've removed the d/s rear jump seat as it gets in the way of things in the truck. Left the passenger side as it doesnt get in the way. Leaving the A/C in the back for the kids and the dogs though, especially on long car rides i know the back of my passat wagon gets hot, i imagine the back of the rover gets toasty too with no A/C..

My head unit cycles the same way. Not sure what happens but when I disconnected the CD player as you did, the head unit would no longer recognize it.

If you figure this one out, please do report back.

There wasn't much left of either, but I managed to find a seat belt, a sun visor, and cd changer (same year as mine). It turned out that my cd changer just had a busted magazine and the magazine from pick'n pull made my changer operational. The pick'n pull magazine even had six cds that I enjoyed on the ride home.

After I dropped the rear right male seat belt off at the upholstery shop to be sewn onto my rear left strap and then swapped out the sun visor I got to thinking " Wouldn't it be nice to see if the pick'n pull cd changer I took the magazine out of works too so I could offer it to someone on the forums". After I unplugged my changer's power and data connections and plugged them into the pick'n pull's it wouldn't turn on. When I cycled the band button to get to the CD changer menu it only displayed AM, FM I, and FM II. After hooking the original changer back up its the same story - it doesn't power on and band only cycles through AM, FM I, and FM II.

I tested the voltage at the power plug to the CD changer and its got 12 V when the truck key is turned off and 7.5 V when turned to position 1or 2. I disconnected the battery and reset the security code to see if that would do anything. Still scratching my head here.

I have a feeling both changers do actually work but I am just missing a step. If anyone can help out there's cd changer in it for you.

Thanks for reading.
