Noticed this this morning, truck seems to be driving fine... I'm not really mechanically inclined... I know enough not to drive it...

What is it called? About how much is that going to cost to get fixed?

That's an unhappy u-joint. You might get away with just the u-joints and the nuts and bolts for the drive shaft, but if it's in bad shape you might need the driveshaft too.

EDIT: I just looked again. I'd replace the driveshaft.

You want an indy mechanic or a drive line shop, not a dealer, for realistic affordable prices.

I wouldn't drive it anywhere. I'd have it towed. Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market shows a few used propshafts in your area for less than $100. I'd have the shop put new u-joints in it of course, and make sure you have them greased every oil change.

~$890 for a new rear drive shaft and ujoints with installation from the Land Rover dealer in Columbia, SC.

You sir have a broken universal joint in your driveshaft, if that cones loose you will have a 30lb steel club beating the crap out of the entire bottom of your truck.

I bought a used 98 DI rear D/S for Forty Bucks. Definitely check for used first.

I bet Paul Grant and/or Will Tillery can help you if not a local place. What about that local Land Rover Club?

Buy a used propshaft from one of the mentioned people and rebuild it or have it rebuilt.

It's the front prop shaft, and it's completely removed now... When I buy the new shaft the ujoints come with it right? I've found drive shafts in my area for 79 bucks... I'm pretty sure this is something I can do myself. If I'm wrong let me know, lol.
