Default Something is clunking

I will warn everyone I have beat up the underside of my rover a bit. All in good fun though!

Whenever I go through a dip or hit a rock just the right way I am getting a clunk underneath. I have lifted it at my work and poked and prodded with a pry bar til I was blue in the face. Nothing. Checked bearings. All good. Checked axles, all good. Checked body mounts and engine/tranny mounts. all good. Checked spring perches and all are tight and locked down. Basically this noise only happens when I am moving and hitting something just hard enough to make the noise.

Anyone had this problem?

I should add I have narrowed it down the the left side.

Mine does the exact same thing! I checked everything, replaced wheel bearings, and tie rod ends. Still does it. I am guessing it is the steering box since the wheel shakes when it does it. Let me know what you find out,

Check trailing arm and panhard rod connections are tight. Try standing in the doorsill, and rocking the truck back and forth (this was easy since I'm a fat guy).

Tried the panhard rod and the trailing arm. Also tried rocking mine as well. I have a roof rack with sliders so I got it going pretty good. No noises heard. Definately happens while moving and when the left wheels hit a rock. Honestly it feels like something is worn out or broken but I cannot find it for the life of me.

Speaking of shocks.... a buddy of mine had a 1990 RRC that had the rusty shock towers up front. One of them actually came completely separated from the frame and would bang around in the engine compartment.
