Default SRS Light

My SRS light came on as usual and goes out @ 3mph as it is supposed to but then came on after driving a mile or two
Fast forward next cycle after stopping and turning it off - starting again it came on like it was supposed to and goes off @3mph and hasn't light up until it is supposed to at start up
I scanned for a code and got nothing
Question:
Could high moisture in the brake fluid cause an intermittent SRS light and throw no code ? Or is there a more likely issue ?

Maybe something with the airbags or seatbelts, not brakes (SRS = Safety Restraint System). The driver's seatbelt switch can wear out, but that has its own dash warning light, not sure about SRS codes.

Sorry not SRS - ABS - total senior moment

I am trying the brake fluid siphon routine to improve the fluid - siphon out the brake fluid add new repeat repeat repeat after driving to get mostly fresh brake fluid into the system without a bleed - the moisture test was over 3%

I am having an identical issue with the ABS light popping back on and will be watching this thread closely.

Common problem with ABS is one (or more) of the wheel sensors looses the signal at low speed, causing the brakes to pulsate, and not brake as good. For example, braking in a parking lot, braking while making a turn, or braking at the edge of a cliff. No fun, believe me. My mechanic has a scanner (either Autel or Snap-On) that reads ABS codes and shows the pulses (1 or 0) from the ABS sensors to show which are not sending a signal. That is very useful for troubleshooting.

My front sensors tended to get knocked back about a millimeter while driving down the road. The ABS light would clear when the sensors were pressed or tapped back in (very tiny movement), only to relight after some miles. My theory is the sensors magnets get weak over time, but I have not tried new sensors. Second theory is the hub swivel bearings get worn out and a bit sloppy. As a work-around, my ABS pumps have been disabled by pulling the fuses, like others have posted on this forum, to prevent heart-stopping moments and fender benders. Some folks put a dot of black tape over the light, or pull the annoying bulb. Then pump the brakes manually when sliding in snow or loose dirt.

Maybe repost this with ABS instead of SRS in the topic line, so it can be searchable by others. Hope this is helpful.

ABS codes can be accessed by using the 'blink code' method.
