SRS light on after being rearended
Yesterday I was sitting at a red light and was rearended by a small suv doing about 5 mph. After looking at both vehical's, there was no damage to either other then my plastic LR hitch plug was a little smashed. So after driving away I noticed the SRS light was on. This morning it did not come on during a 20 mile drive. This evening I took it out and the light came on again and I tried to turn the engine off and restart it and the light came on again. Would disconecting the battery clear the code? What could be causing this?
Thank you,

99% of the time there is no problem, but you do need to get it scanned because when the SRS light is on then your airbag will not work.
Most likely the ECU knows something happened but not sure what and it just needs to be reset.

Because we did not see any damage we did not exchange info. Next time I will get all the info.in case of hidden problems like this one. I willtake it in and have it checked out. Thanks guy's
