srs light on and flashing in dash

Default srs light on and flashing in dash
Does this mean that there is an issue with my airbags or my fuse is out in the main fuse box? What would happen if I pull the srs fuse? It's really bothering me.

There is a serious, problem with the SRS system, check the fuse first.

If you pull the fuse the SRS light will stay on all the time, and you will loose other functions as well.
