A little grease isn't a bad idea, but are you referring to wheel bearings?

Yes you do, I was hoping you'd get a kick out of it. What did you take on your epic trip?

 

I was avoiding providing an answer to that question after your response (Credit card with a very low balance, a multi-tool, a cell phone and a couple of shop rags.) I was not so bold at that early date of ownership, having owned her for only a few months before a 4000 mile journey.

So, i took a tool box, yellow, plastic, standard home depot box, with a set of 1/4" metric socket and driver set, set of metric box wrenches, a set of box wrenches from 7/16 to 5/8, allen wrenches, a set of star wrenches, several screwdrivers, a bunch of fuses, a multi tool, a knife, a wire stripper and some 16 gauge wire, a small spool of baling wire, duct tape (seriously) pliers, needle nose pliers, infrared thermometer, electrical tape, twine, small funnel, RTV sealer. flashlight, hacksaw blade, lighter, dielectric grease, pens and pencil, and i bought an a/c charge kit with gauge on the road. Seriously, i fit all that into a small tool box.

but i aint scared anymore! Driving to Ft Benning, Georgia in August without all that additional weight slowing me down! Zoom Zoom!

 

I keep my good used serpentine belt ( the one I pulled off when I noticed cracks forming - still good but not one to trust) in the "tray" up under the wiper pivots wrapped in a plastic bag and I still have my paper-clip"rear window defroster to high mounted stop light jumper" in case the brake switch goes.
