1.Can Anyone Tell ME Where The Starter Is Located In the Land rover 98 discovery?

hmmm.... would this be the first starter you have ever changed?
It is located on the bottom passenger side of the engine. To get it off you have to use a couple of extensions and work from the front of the axle.
Unhook the battery when you do this.
By the way, what makes you think you need a new starter?
