Stranded in Virginia...help!!! Need a trans!!!
So I was driving across from TX to visit my family in VA and what do you know it, the brand new transmission I put in less than a month ago blew up. Shop who built it won't honour their crap warranty, and I am stuck. I need a new trans now, so if someone knows of a 4HP22 and a good LT230, I need it ASAP. Local shop can't find one in time for me to get home. Please, please, please let me know if you have one...call me at 206.450.2046 or email at liamtherealtor@gmail.com.

While you check with Will and perhaps local boneyards (most Rovers are there because of overheating) - what happened to yours? Fluid leak out and fried?
Couple of large boneyards come to mind, and there are others...

Thanks everyone, looks like we've sourced one but she won't be ready for a week or so. Basically, I was towing my vintage Saab up to Lynchburg, VA to visit my parents and drop it to have IT'S transmission sorted. Well en route in nowhere Arkansas all was going well until that knock I have previously posted about started coming on while I was driving which has never happened before. before I could slow down to check it out, she started jerking real bad and when I let off the throttle there was BIG SMOKE and the worst grinding noise I've heard, sounded like a dremel tool into metal except so loud it left my ears ringing. That was it. No soft failure at all. My parents towed the landie the rest of the way to VA since we know honest mechanics around here. Just wasn't able to source a good trans. Saab is still in Arkansas though, which is going to be a problem...but that's basically my story.
