Default Stuck on Centralizing Peg

Trying to change out my rear driveshaft in the D1 and eliminate the flex coupler.. Got the shaft off and I can't seem to get the centralizing peg to budge..

I've broken two puller bolts trying to get the thing off..

I've even drilled it and tapped it to the next bigger size so I could get a better bite and just broke the puller bolt..

It's soaking as we speak...

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

John

Heat. The loctite used on it is the type that needs heat to break the bond.
Sounds like you're doing the basic procedure described here:

Finally got it... That sucker was on there...It was just pressed in there but there was a substantial amount of natures loctite on it...

New driveshaft installed...

Smooth...

If anybody needs parts... This old shaft has grease zerks on the U-joints and the slider... It's all in good shape with the exception of the flex coupler itself..
