Default Stuck in hi range

Hi all, very new to the land of Rovers and British vehicles specifically. Mine seems to be stuck in hi range. The center diff lock was seized but I got that freed up and working, however, the hi/low is absolutely stuck. I replaced the broken linkage but no dice.

I removed the block on top of the case that the linkage ends at and the rod that it acts upon is stuck in the rearward position. I tried to carefully pry against it directly but to no avail. Is there something electric that could stop it shifting through the ranges if it were to be non operational? I hope some of that makes sense, I dont think I have enough posts to post photos yet.

For posterity, it was the solenoid. I just took the plate off and cut the center pin that actuates off, it's not that hard to not try putting it in low range while in gear so if anyone tries in this truck they'll have to pay the idiot tax.
