There should be 2 drains one on either side of the transmission tunnel. I just removed the pinch plugs from both side to not deal with crawling underneath to clear them when they get plugged.
Ah,,two drains.. well the side that gets the water is not plugged.. I jammed it with a clothes hanger to the point of feeling a pop. (so I am sure I just broke through the rubber and now will get A/C water where it is not supposed to be) ..
BUT after running slow water into the cowl in front of the window, I got no new water until I increased the flow enough to have water standing in the cowl of about 3 inches. Then I noticed new moisture on the carpet insulating sponge.. Uh I mean pad.
So next is the black silicone treatment of everything above that line and see what happens.

Hey-- quick question for someone who has had water on the passenger side floor.. I have sealed what I think was the cause, confirmed that both drains are clear, and I think that any water from the sunroof corner drain would be clearly seen coming from the A pillar.... AND I have ran a heater for several hours on that floor under the mat - left it open in the sun for more hours - till it was all dry
So when there has been no rain and the "sponge" of the floor insulation material still seeps water like the spot in the photo, Am I just seeing residue of the moisture in the sponge-like material that may take weeks to get out? or am I still getting water from ... well - no rain so it would have to be the AC ...
Ideas?

^Lol...... I would ditch the sponge insulation for Dyna-Mat or bed liner. It's better than water soaked rot AND you can hear the steam engine chugging away.
That spot seems to be too far toward the rear of the car to be anything but residual wetness.
You still have your under-seat cubby covers?! wow!
luck to have had many d1 hitting the local boneyard.. too bad the seat base on drivers side is broke at the bottom and will not hold the door i have.
Argh! more rain and more water in floor! guess it was not the crack around the cabin air intake.
so... if the water is from a crack inside the cabin air intake, i should confirm it by running water into that cowl directly? At a slow rate I assume but where should it be coming out at? does it run out at the nipples where the a/c drains from?
And - I have read some post that refer to a water ingress bulletin, but I have not seen any links to that bulletin. Anyone know where I can get that?
You need to remove the pad and carpet in that corner while you are at it remove the glove box, lower cover behind bottom of glove box, and the kick panel. Dry everything up and run the hose on the lower part of the windshield and have some one inside laying down with a flashlight to see where the water is entering my guess is the old seam sealer on the inner fender is rotted and allowing water to enter the cab that is draining from the lower windshield cowl area. Found it.. Thanks Icannap1. I had already removed stuff but could not tell the source till a small trickle pointed the way.
Now to clean it and try out some eastwood 2k epoxy primer in a spray can (if I can find it locally) and then bondo.. This will be my testing ground b4 I start to work on the back door piller rust.
I have to say the fender was more of a bitch than I thought it was gonna be. Anyone know what that gummy stuff is that they used to seal the rear edge of the fender where the 10mm bolts were? I assume it is best to use somthing when I put it back together - right? rust holes above and below the seal line
