swapping fog light switch with another?
Front fog light switches for the Disco 1, part # AMR4138, are impossible to find, and mine is broken (not dirty). Is there any other switch that's wired the same way I can use, even if it requires shaving the "bezels" to make the connector fit into it? The Disco 2 switch fits the connector, but it's wired differently
I have the roof light bar wired to this switch, so as an alternative, is there a universal switch for the lights that I could use with that connector? I've searched high and low on this and other forums, but can't find a solution. Any help is appreciated.

They are pretty plentiful in the UK and you can find used ones on ebay - you can use the rear fog light switch too as they are more plentyfull

lately I have had some success using car-part.com for little bits and pieces. There may be a wrecker in your area that would be very happy to sell small bits for good money. Perform the search, call the company, drive up and pull it straight out of the dash. Your time is certainly worth something so at the end of the day it may simply be easier to pay a bit more on ebay.
In this case, a search for 'Dash' is more useful than a search for 'fog lamp switch' because wreckers don't generally inventory all the small bits.

Thanks for the suggestions. Plenty of rear fog light switches on Ebay, no front ones. I called about 30 junk yards within 100 miles, nobody has any D1s in their lot, a web search for the part shows no results. But I just found a used one on Facebook marketplace, cross fingers and hope it works. I was hoping to be able to use a different switch that is wired the same way, but wiring diagrams of switches are equally hard to find.
