terra firma coil kit question
anyone running the medium coils on an otherwise stock truck? i'm trying to figure out whether i want to go with the light or medium springs. my 96 is stock right now with no current plans for armor or heavier bumpers. i'm just looking for a little lift for some trails around the stl area and running around my dad's place in southern mo.
i'd go with the light duty but am a little hesitant since i do take some trips with camping gear and four or five kids in the truck. however, i don't want to run the medium if that is over kill and i'll bounce all over the place or sit higher than 2 inches.
thanks,

I went with med TF's in back and light TF's in front....I do a lot of towing and wanted the extra support for the back......fwiw i feel the med duty springs gave me almost 3 inches lift in back ( with no load) and the lights 2 " in the front. The ride is fine, no complaints there. And to answer your next question.....yes you should get the +2'' shocks especially with the medium springs.....I didnt at first and the shocks 'topped" out several times before I went with the longer ones.
go medium all the way around in the future you will want it. i love mine! added a front bumper and winch 1 year later, and still love my med duty kit. 3 kids camping gear rover acc. and parts on board normally. yes get the 2' extended shocks i didnt and wishing i had.
+2" shocks should be run with a 2" lift coil to avoid bottoming them out. Kit is by far the easiest way to go unless you buy custom length shocks to maximize travel and run extended mounts.
