Default Terrafirma Steering kit installation

The TF has pin ends on top and bottom. One attaches to diff mount. The other to the TF bolted bracket. Why didn’t they weld that and make it nice!
The twin tube design is very fat and will intefere with the steering bar unless it is this position. I had hope to rotate it above the steering bar.

Pin end on pass side. Attaches to the diff vibration mount.
Pass side view of the pin end mounting to diff mount.
1996 Trek- drove it to the end of the driveway. Now to get all the windows working!
The sun was out today- perfect for installing HD front end parts from terrafirma. Very happy with quality, finish and it seems very robust.
A few pointers, as the diff dampner needs to be completely removed to clear the thicker HD bar and can be reinstalled after the bars are in place. The tie rod ends have zirk fittings and came with new castle nuts, washers and cotter pins.
With such a nice kit, it seems silly to have a bolt on end bracket( see pics). Why not just have a nice welded tab on there?
i wasn’t sure the orientation of the dampner, so kept it at an angle where it didn’t bind. Maybe flip it to the top? Please post up some pics with yours installed!!
thanks.

Relocate that steering damper to the drag link in front of the axle. It moves it higher up and out of the way.

Fish, got a photo of a damper up front you can post. Any special tools or thing required to relocate it there?
Thanks

I opted to use a larger oil filter instead( which would have interfered with the defender style damper up front) and kept original damper location where it was.
