Is there a better way?
Ok so I am in the middle of replacing my rear axle upper a-frame bushing. The issue is that the 30mm nut that secures it to the rear axle housing will not come off. I can not get a socket to grip it cause of its location. Any suggestions?
det cord?
If you lift the body you should be able to get a wrench handle under the gas tank. Leave the axle on the wheels or jack stands and lift the body at the rear bumper to uncompress the springs. Then use a box wrench and if you have to a piece of tubing to extend your leverage.
I only looked at it, but I think you should be able to get an impact socket on it with an extension.
It really shouldn't be at high torque because it's a ball joint right? So try some penetrating fluid and knock it with a mallet or drift.
