Default Thoughts? Only issue is no rear lights

What do you think?
I think the oil leak is minor. I will check it out with my magnifying glass to be sure! I wonder about the turn signal problem though. I talked to the guy and he says he checked the fuses and they are all good. He also talked about the only way he got rear break lights was because he spliced into a wire in the rear drivers quarter panel. (I am not completely sure what he is talking about there.) But for the price, and the miles (if it looks good, engine wise) it would be a deal.

If you have a donor vehicle or salvage yard nearby looks good. Many with all body parts in same condition (leaks, rips) are going for almost double his price. Tires may be dry rotted. Suspect wiring was to trailer light plug connector 400, but it is on right side, see attached. Let idle and see if she over heats, etc.

Usually the rear light issues are the turn signal stalk which you can get from Paul Grant cheap.

Make him an offer and see if he bites.

That is one of the tests I will do! I did notice she was pretty cheap (especially for miles) I have to make sure there isn't some shade tree business going on here! lol

X2 on the turn stalk. Mine went south while driving on the interstate. Used fog lamps to get it home. Alais...it failed state inspection.

And speaking of shade tree, i resemble that remark.... but think about taking a combustion-gas-in-coolant-test. About $35 - $50, but makes a lot of tests. Might tell you of HG problems while owner says it "nevah ovaheeted"....

I was not trying to be offensive. I went and looked at the disco: It had a lot more wrong with it than what was posted. We couldn't get it to start, even after I put my battery on it. The doors wouldn't open! Oh and there was left over pot in the back seat.... I looked in the oil cap and sludge was everywhere!!! I had to take a stick and poke it through the oil cap hole to even attempt to see the rockers....

OK...but did you buy it?

Certainly you have to know it's going to have issues at that price point. Tell him it's worth $300 to the wrecking yard (probably less due to body damage) and you can make it go away for that price.

Time to pay for Christmas means a bargain can be had. Good luck!

Yeah, offer 300, but max out at 500 IF it runs fine.

Although, if you don't need it, I'd just pass and wait for a better one to come along for cheap...unless you have the extra money, space and time.
