Default Tps % ?

I had my scan gauge hooked up to my 97 and at idle my tps is reading 12% shouldnt it be 0% at idle with no accelerator input? Im just trying to find out what the tps % paramters are at idle and Im wondering if this could be a factor to my high idle problem.

Nope. 9-12% is normal.

ECU converts it to zero. High idle is because of the IACV.

High idle can also be because ECU is in limp mode because you messed with the TPS, or other cause. Only way to fix limp mode is ECU reset by Autologic or other diagnostic computer.

I think an appointment with my local LR indie shop for a reset is my next step I've already replaced the iacv. Didn't touch the tps just was wondering if 12% was normal.
