Default trailer harness

picked up a land rover 7 way harness, opened it and looked at the thing, i am guessing i need a land rover brand adapter to goto 4 flat but this thing is unlike any 7 way plug i have seen

I had one I removed. Didn't like the quality of it. I used the one in this post

thanks guess is will use the 4 flat i have wired in for now

If its a OEM kit, the 7 way plug is a European plug. Very different form the 7 way US plug. A European 7-Way has separate turn signals and brake lights and a circuit for fog lamps. The tail lights are also separate.

yup european style, e trailers sells the adapter to 4 flat $20 on sale

up in the air weather or not to use this or put a usa 7 way/4way plug on here like the lr3 has

I see no reason to spend the money on an adapter when you can just cut the wires and wire in a converter, which you're going to need anyway if you're in the US and are not replacing/rewiring your trailer lights.
