Default Transmission pan drop troubles

Hey everyone, for the past few days I have been trying to change my transmission fluid and filter. I have the cross member unbolted and slid out of the way, and the pan bolts off, but I cant unscrew the dipstick bolt for the life of me. I am very frustrated with it. What would the best way to solve my problem? Thanks in advance

First use a wire brush and remove any rust, undercoat, etc from the nut and around the pipe. Then spray the nut with some penetrating oil like PB Blaster and let it sit (longer the better). Use the proper sized wrench and....it's off.

If you are in a hurry use a PROPANE TORCH (you will NOT need more heat than that!) for a few minutes on the nut. Spray the nut and pipe with the P oil and remove while still hot. The oil is really not needed once heated, but it can help.

" and the pan bolts off "...... BEFORE YOU TRY TO REMOVE THE DIPSTICK NUT PUT THE PAN BOLTS BACK IN!

Thank you so much. I put the pan back on and wire brushed the nut and then let it sit a few hours with the pb blaster and it eventually came off and I was able to replace the filter and some fluid. Gonna drain and add some more fluid in a week. My rover would definitely have been in a junk yard years ago without this forum.
