From my experience with O2 sensors, you can never really get rid of all the codes until all of the sensors have been replaced.

For me, replacing my MAF and all four O2s solved the p1196.

Follow up on the P1196 code. Disconnect battery terminals, disconnect ECU connectors, then disconnected all 4 O2 sensor connectors, pulled the harness up from behind the firewall, attached tie strap 1" from connector and harness, removed wire split loom, untapped O2 sensor harness from behind the engine compartment where it splits behind the fuel rail, check wiring for damage or insulation damage, found one wire that did not stay locked in to connector in front pre cat O2 sensor, cleaned all 4 connectors, check continuity on all wires from sensor to ECU by following the Raves electrical diagram, all wires checked out fine, checked continuity again while wiggling the harness and connectors, still OK, except that the same wire from the front pre cat O2 sensor wire slipped out of socket, add new tape and split loom to harness, tie strapped each connector 1" after connector end so wires can stay in place, route harness back to sensor locations, and connect sensors, connect ECU, connect battery, clear codes, and drive. It has been a week since I did this and the P1196 has not returned. I will need to replace one socket for the pre cat sensor connector. Does anyone know how long does it normally take or miles driven before the ECU will store the cat and emissions to be ready for smog and or is there a trick to speed that part up?

This has been claimed to be the drive cycle reset procedure. I can't verify that thouh.
17 EMISSION CONTROL

DRIVE CYCLE - ADVANCED EVAPS
1. Switch on ignition for 30 seconds.
2. Ensure that coolant temperature is less than 140
°F (30°C).
3. Start engine and allow to idle for 2 minutes.
4. Perform 2 light accelerations (0 to 35 mph with
light pedal pressure).
5. Perform 2 medium accelerations (0 to 45 mph
with moderate pedal pressure).
6.
Perform 2 Perform 2
hard accelerations (0 to 55 mph with
heavy pedal pressure).
7. Cruise at 60 mph for 5 minutes.
8. Cruise at 50 mph for 5 minutes.
9. Cruise at 35 mph for 5 minutes.
10. Allow engine to idle for 2 minutes.
11. Connect TestBook and check for fault codes.
