Sounds High Risk / Low Reward to me. I don't have the practical knowledge to try something that will potentially cause more problems and has questionable benefits.

You couldn't pay me to even consider a turbo on these engines. No way.

Don't put any kind of force induction on a rover V8. They already struggle with reliability as a naturally aspirated engine.

If you still have your heart set on a turbo engine, maybe you could swap in a 300Tdi or like a 2JZ or something. Probably expensive to do so, but if you want to do that then go ahead. Best option for a turbo.

na.... swap a chevy LS in with twin turbos

Personally, If I were to do an engine swap on my disco, I wouldn't want to mess with turbos. I would get a toyota 3UR-FE 5.7L with a TRD supercharger.

Fast and reliable.
