You have a bad bulb on the right side if it is flashing rapidly on the right and normal to the left. Turn the hazard lights on and walk around and see witch ones flash on the left side but not the right.

Brian hit it right on the nose. The faster blinking is caused by less resistance in the blinker circuit...usually a blown bulb...but..my disco does this on occasion...what i had to do was put dielectric grease on each bulbs contacts in my taillights, bumper lights and front turn signals. This solved the issue when i couldn't find any bulbs that were blown.

The bulbs in the rear bumper wiggle loose on my truck all the time, drive to work and they work normal, hit a bump half way there and they blink fast.
Reach under the bumper and wiggle the bulb and all is well once again.

That's not what he is saying. He said it clicks all the time, but it slows to normal when he uses the signals

Sorry, completely misread the OP...i would think it is a malfunctioning blinker switch...not complicated to replace at all.

I know this is an old thread, but was this ever resolved? I'm having the same issue. fast blinker noise which returns to normal when signals are used and stop completely when the lights are on lol

Replace the relay.
I had the same thing happen this last summer, traced it to a relay under the dash.
It went away before I could replace it, not worried about it until it happens again.
