Nippy. So what was it once warmed up and driving at say 40 - 50 mph? Did you need radiator cardboard?

No. No need to block the radiator. She still runs right at 195 at 65mph, then cools off once the rpm's and engine load drop, but let her idle and the temps will fluctuate from 190-195ish.
With the 195 t-stat I have enough heat to get a complement from the chick at the drive thru.
When its that cold you cant lock your CDL though, you need to drive for 5 miles at least to get the gear oil warmed up enough to be able to shift the t-case.
I ran with my CDL locked in hi all week because it was snowing non stop.

Like crap.
The traction control goes nuts everytime I take off in the snow.
We are buying new (and more aggressive) tires for her in the fall.
It takes forever to heat up and does not put out much heat.
I already replaced the t-stat, only one temp available, 180.
Let it idle for 10min in the garage and the temp gauge will only be a hairs width off the bottom.
We get to the store just as it reaches normal temp.
MPG sucks, 1mpg average more than my truck.
I average 14mpg, she averages 15mpg.
ABS works very well though.

23 mpg here, warms up even on those frosty 28F mornings. You know they have cold weather in Korea. Electric fans stuck on?

There is nothing wrong with the van Buzz.
Its the way its used and the cold t-stat.
1.5 miles to the store, 3 miles taking the kids to school, 2 miles to the mall...

Ok, I'm nowhere near that cold, but even when ambient is in the 20-40's, my UG engine temp is in the 130-150's. I've read about overheating, but is this a problem for me that I should be digging into? Truck runs great otherwise. Thanks!

Sorry to hijack, but the title was "UG temps"

If your truck has sat all night/day the engine should be within 5-10 degrees of the outside temp when you first start it.
I took that pic like 20 seconds after starting my engine after sitting in the parking lot at work all day.
If your U-G says 130 right from the get go then your engine coolant temp sensor is bad.
