Default Ultragauge EM

Just got it in the mail. Coolest temperature gauge I've ever bought.
I'm anxious to play with this thing.

The temp is my top concern but I'm curious...
What do you guys have on your main gauge, or page one of the gauge screens? Learned anything cool while using this thing?
Any tips for a new ultragauge user?

Congrats on the new toy!!

I have engine temp, rpm, intake temp, total average mpg, total run time, total miles.
I leave it paused on that page 985 of the time.
On page 2 I have engine temp, trip start average mpg, trip start miles and run time, rpm and trip start average speed.

What you will "discover" is that human nature is to watch a gauge when it exists, sometime to distraction. The digital readings are updated frequently, so you will see minor changes that look like mountains. On the analog gauge, the dips and peaks are averaged out by the dampened slow respose of the gauge (D1) or outright computer programming (D2 with pulse width modulation of the pointer by the ECU). First crank up of the day will have digital temp go up until mechanical stat activates and catches up.

Great buy, but SHMBO calls it my panic gauge as I am constantly watching it. Personally I have it only on one page for info that I think I need. There is alot of info that you can have but most of it I dont need unless there is a problem

Like that temp! What do you see while riding at high way speed? While navigating the Inner Harbor area?

High way at 60mph is between 195.8-197.7 and stop and go traffic is 201- 204.6. changed the T/stat to a genuine one and changed the coolant to get rid of the dexcol to peak 50/50 and a bottle of water wetter.

Great! Beats the heck out of that 215 - 221 stuff. BTW, we'll take your word for it, no need to take photos at 60 mph...

I love my ultra ultra guage. My temps run between 195.8 and 205ish. Runs hot with AC on. Gonna get the radiator rodded out and see what happens

After more than 6,000 miles I almost never look at mine anymore.
I used to practically stare at it, now it is just part of my normal driving sweep of the mirrors and gauges.
