His PS was certainly interesting.
Not so interesting. My kids are very "knowledgeable" too in that they know what they are supposed to do but like a Rover engineer they also never do it.

Thank you all for everything I really appreciate it. As for the antifreeze no I don't need to keep filling it up which I have finally decided that I will just hold off on that job.

Jfall Thank you for the pictures that you posted.

Sounds wise.
If you decide to do hub maintenance (which you should if you haven't already), search the site for posts containing "RTC3511" posted by me and you'll find information on the best seals to use, bearings needed (if any) and how to install the seals correctly. I've posted photos in some of the the threads.

Thank you Antichrist. . . I will do that researching now, since you did mention this should I be looking at upgrading them since I will be doing the maintenance. I haven't done that yet. I know this sound a little weird but can it all be bought as a complete set as it would be better for me since I will be getting this as a gift.

THANK YOU!

My name is Tom. Antichrist is my Land Rover. You know that.

You can buy it as a kit, but it will likely cost you a fair bit more.
The problem is that no one, to my knowledge, has the kit with the better RTC3511 seal, so you'd still have to get that. The bearings are about $13 locally, most places charge anywhere from a bit more to a lot more. Trevor at RovahFarm has a decent price on the kit with Timken bearings (but the crappy seal), so you could give him a ring and see if you can upgrade to the better seal for a couple dollars more. If you really want/need it as a kit.
Here's one thread that has part numbers and some fitting information.

Yeah. That had just recently been released when I got the Rover and VT issued me the tags 6A666. Friends named it.
