what sensors have you tried?

i rebuilt the engine, installed yellow volvo injectors, plugs, wires, fuel pressure regulator, reset adaptive values, swapped ecm, reset values new ecm, went back to old ecm reset values, replaced fuel pump/strainer/fuel filter, fuel temp sensor, cleaned maf, swapped maf probly other stuff all no change codes actualy are getting worse since rebuild

also swapped coil packs, when i rev the engine even 1 time it pops as rpms are coming down so theres definitly a miss

i was rid of the 1179 now its back along with the 1313 , 1314 so wtf

i have not tried crank or cam sensors and my mil light does not work even prompting it with the scan tool guessing bulb is out, whats the mil light look like ? guess i should say nothing extra lights on dash when i prompt mil

I will count my lucky stars. I don't have any issues with my rebuild/stroke. Knock on wood... Tom, maybe the injectors aren't agreeing with the system?

Since the codes started I've replaced the coil packs, plugs, wires, ECU, TPS, CTS, IATS, CkPS, IACV, FPR, injectors, repaired a bad coil pack connector, and inspected reluctor ring for correct gap. Have not replaced cam position sensor due to their insane cost.

WONDER if it would be worth trying a used cam sensor , not sure exactly what it does since there is a crank sensor

if the cam sensor has something to do with timing then could be the issue

oh yeah and add the ael fuel sending unit to my list, i feel like i have replaced the entire truck at this point

maybe i am not getting enough fuel from the autozone replacement pump?

there is probly some guy in uk drinkin a pint laughing at us as he reads this saying dumb yanks its right there staring them in the face

Ah yes, I've tried three different fuel pump types including OEM. No dice. I'd gladly test a volunteer cam sensor.

Default P1313 & p1314

I haven't replaced nearly as much as you guys have, just plugs and wires and fluids, so today I ordered two new “NGK 25044 Oxygen Sensors” from Amazon.com for $97.16 total. The Listing says: "OE MFR: NTK, DIRECT FIT OXYGEN SENSOR, w/AELS (ADVANCED EVAPORATIVE LOSS SYSTEM) This product fits these positions on your 1998 Land Rover Discovery: Downstream Left, Downstream Right, Upstream Left, Upstream Right."

I just have to get the old ones out now and clean them up and have spares for the downstream; I figure the upstream are the most important for better MPG and I'll see if swapping the downstream around affects the P1313 and P1314. I soaked the downstream sensors in Berryman Chem-Dip carb & parts cleaner in an old asprin bottle; maybe there was some asprin dust left that will cure their headaches.

I had tried to remove the crank position sensor to check it, but mine is not at all like what is described in the RAVE and while the cover feels loose on one side it just didn't want to come off and I couldn't find any bolts under all the nasty oil and dirt. That will be my next attempt if new upstream O2 sensors don't help.

Iirc when I was a GM dealer tech many moons ago the tech 2 scanner could show pulse width on injectors and coils to diagnose the problem, any such scanner for rover

Since my code was for cyl 6 I guess that's where the problem lies , would be nice to know if its the injector cutting out or the coil
