Welding aluminum bodywork?
Not necessarily. I'd assume the shiny surface would actually bounce heat away from the truck. Kind of like the gold mylar all over the lunar module? For similar reasons I'm planning on painting my roof white. (Also the clear coat is gone

Also, I was doing some custom wiring to replace my terrible spit and shoestring job I did last time, and finally confirmed the color code. It IS woodcote green.

It's probably electro-galvanized, and the zinc is still holding up.
Roof is steel I used to have a few deep scratches on the rear of my roof it was rusting
One of the guys here swapped d2 rear corners on his d1 and stripped the paint to the aluminum, looked great , probly a crap load of work

Side note - is glare from safari lights the reason for the black hood?
