My 1997 is a fine ride but I dont know what it is as in model, SD, SE, SE7 how can you tell?

 

By the stickers on the front fenders, or the VIN#.

You will need to call the dealer with your VIN#.

 

Do you have sunroofs? If not, it's definitely an SD. This is not to say that you couldn't order an SD with sunroofs but SE's were not made available without them. Does your truck have alloy wheels that look like the ones that came on a Defender 90? If so, you probably have an SD. Most SE's came with the Deep Dish XS wheels. The Freestyle was outfitted on an SD right through '99. Does your truck have rear jump seats in the cargo area. If so it's either an SD7 or and SE7 as both models were offered. The number 7 refers to the number of seats!

So, without seeing pictures or getting any details from you whatsoever, beyond the fact that it's a '97, this is the best I have to offer.
