you could also just get a sheet of diamond plate or whatever metal you prefer and cut to fit with a metal blade in a jigsaw.. Use the old panel as a template. Clamp a straight edge to the plate to act as a guide on the straight runs and freehand it on the corners..

 

Yakima Axe and Shovel Mounts. Made to fit an SD rack of about 1" diameter. I was able to shim the clamps with flexible tubing to make it work though.

Yup. I'd like to get some sort of rubber edge seal like RockStar to finish it off. I'll find something.

 

I emailed them and they said they were out of stock (not the j-can holder) and they would email me when they had more. I'm not to handy with power tools.... I usually never touch them unless I have too haha but then again I never have to so I am lacking in that experience and practice area.
