re: i have temp already

The Ultra Gauge and the stock coolant temp to ECU sensor will be more accurate than the gauge temp sensor and anything.

I'll be going AutoMeter. It's what I used on my Cobra with good luck. Feel free to vote.

I'm going to attempt to fab up something that goes where the Digital Clock is currently. I never use that space anyway. I just hate mechanical gauges coming into the cab.

I like #1, but don't think it matches the LR very well...

There's a basic one that is closeish but it's probably going to be far enough away from the gauge cluster that it wont matter.

I vote number 1.

I'd love a gauge cluster on the A Pillar, similar to lots of diesel trucks. Not sure where to find one though...

Heres a pix, X149, bottom right photo, D1 is not so easy to get to with big hands and the oil cooler lines.
Great pictures, thanks Buzz. So in order to fit an aftermarket gauge one must unplug the factory 7 PSI switch, correct? Then simply screw in a 1/2 adaptor for the aftermarket gauge.

That is one method, and another method is the "pancake" adapter that goes between oil filter and engine. With second method, the oil PSI warning light function is retained.

What I found interesting is that oil PSI gauges were offered as an option by Rover, for under $100.... back with Series I units that sold new for under 1000 pounds (sterling). In the fabulous 50's....
