Understood, and many have not looked at the body manual and realized that it comes apart with wrenches.

That makes me laugh when I think about how you could just about tear an old Series Rover down to its chassis as long as you had five wrenches, a vise and a couple of screw drivers.

With the availability of galvanized frames from Marsland and Richards, there's practically no reason for a Series Rover to wind up like that. I seems like a waste when so few made it over to the States to begin with.

Great suggestions......don't have time to repair myself and son needs replacement asap....according to pics my son took, looks to have wheel and suspension damage also....easy $4-5000 damage

The main thing is that your son is OK. And this just increased his defensive driving skills by a large factor.

I drive like a grandpa now after totaling my Miata a few years ago.

All of them have head gasket issues. The engine design is very primative and hasn't been improved on in forever. The plus is they are simple engines that are very easy to work on. With a buddy and some beer of course you can tear down and rebuild the top half of a 3.9 or 4.0 throughout the course of a Saturday.
