Default What are these holes in my Discovery 1 Bumper for?

I pulled off the center plastic cover from my 97 Discovery 1 Bumper and found these cool holes! Any idea what OEM or aftermarket things fit here? Thanks!

I think the inner holes probably are for a euro plate bracket. The two that stick out with two holes each are right where the frame rails are. Was there ever an OEM brush guard or anything that went there? I am new to the Rover thing!

As spike555 said, you're missing your plinth. On my d1, all the trim had been removed from the front bumper, leaving just the metal.

That link is perfect. But to the original poster, don't spend $100 on that part via Atlantic British. There are many Rover "dismantlers" who actually make a living parting out all kinds of Rovers. Be sure to contact one of them; they literally have Rovers from all years and models and will be able to get you those sort of parts very cheap, as long as you're okay with used items. Some names include: Will Tillery, Paul Grant, and Marty (Drillbit) and Overland Rovers. Search around and you'll definitely find their businesses posted throughout the forums.

I appreciate everyone's help and Atlantic British has been a great resource for parts! I have the plinth that covers the holes. I took it off because it was loose and wanted to see what the bumper looked like underneath. In Florida you do not need a front plate. These holes must have had a purpose? This forum has been a tremendous resource and I have learned a lot! Thanks again!

Yes they have a purpose, they hold on the European licence plate.
Their plates are long and skinny.
