Default What Tires to buy for my 95 Disco??

I have an all stock 1995 Disco 1. It currently has 10 year old Pirelli Scorpion AT's. They will need to be replaced pretty soon. I was thinking GoodYear Wrangler Silent Armor AT's, but wanted to get peoples input on what works best with these vehicles.

Tires are of personal choice.
I like and use and recommend the Cooper Discoverer S/T.
235/70/16 is the OEM size for your truck.

I'll look in to those. How has the tread life been?

I'm running BFG M/T 245/75's on my stock D1..... Works well offroad, but they are a bit loud on the road.

Here is what I recommend -

http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/tire-...n-t-a-ko-tires

They are quiet, they last forever and they don't clog up like most of the other "road/off road" tires. They give your vehicle that "pizza cutter" look, kind of tall and skinny looking which usually invokes a love hate reaction from most people. But I just spent the last week and a half trying to get stuck in all the snow we have and couldn't do it. I actually dragged my wife's volvo out of an ice covered driveway sideways like I was on dry pavement.

If you want a pic of what they look like post back and I'll take one and I'll throw one up.

Depends on what you intend to use it for.
I too have the BFG MT KM2 245 75 16 on stock suspension and I have been very impressed, not only offroad in snow and dry but also on road with ice and snow.

I'm running the Cooper's Spike mentioned, I have 35k miles on them and don't plan on replacing them until spring. And I could have gotten more life from them had I shown them some love(rotated them, not so many plugs, etc)

2x on the Coopers, I'm running the Discoverer ATR.....I have about 60,000mi on these tires and so far they are great, I have them rotated and balanced every spring and that's about it. They are almost at the end of their tread life and willneed to be replaced this spring...I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set ....But given this winter...I may opt for the S/T s more aggressive tread .

Just the price.
The Cooper S/T's I bought were $600 installed for a set of 4.
The Hankook Dynapro RF-10 is also a great tire and cheap in price.
