looking at a 1996 disco. everything on this truck is real solid and the price is right, but there was one thing that had me concerned.

the t-case or i guess center diff was making an audiable whining noise that increased with rpm. I know in all the pick-ups ive had, this is normal in 4wd, but usually only in 4L. since im new to the trucks i cant be entirely sure i didnt have the diff in a locked position, but i am sure that it made the same noise in high and low range.

i guess this noise is probably normal on a full time 4wd like this, but i just wanted to make sure before i bought anything and got in over my head. thanks for any help.

 

A slight noise can be considered normal, anything over that would warrant at least having a Rover mechanic drive it and check it out.
