Default wierd idle issue

Ask my mechanic about this while it was having tranny replaced. They said they couldn't replicate the issue. Makes sense cause it only happens after it has been driven for some time (maybe 15 minutes or so)

When its cold, cranks right up and idles pretty high. After warming up idles back down where it should be. But after driving it for awhile it doesn't want to idle at all. It will just shut off. It will crank right back up but just keep shutting off unless you feather the pedal.

Does that sound like a vacum leak? Any clues what to look for?
