Default Window will NOT go back up. AGH!!!!!

I have searched this forum for a few hours looking for an answer to my problem, but I can't find it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as I'm on my last day at home before I head to my two-week hitch on the oil rig in the morning. My back windows work sporadically, typically first thing in the morning they'll occasionally go down and come back up, but after the engine warms up they don't work anymore at all. The track is good, the roller is good. When the motor works it works strong. WHEN it works. I rolled the back driver's side window down a few mornings ago, and now it is stuck. How do i get it to roll up when I can't even get power to the motor?? I pulled the ecu and it doesn't look corroded. What leads 1-5 on the door switch do I touch with an external power to get the window to go up? Thanks for any help anybody can give me! (I welcome phone calls if that works better for someone--my cell is 231-620-5160. Jeffrey)

At the window motor slate/orange and slate/white (slate is also called gray, but shows as S on the wiring diagrams). You can also get at this in the console at the switches, and the rear kill switch may also be part of the problem, it breaks the earth ground connection for the two rear window motors.

Even though the window ecu looks fine the solder joint can still be bad. My joint looked fine but I re soldered it and yea they work again 100% of the time total time 45 mins. No electrical background. My .02 but also as buzz said check the lockout switches as well.

On my window ecu, the cracked solder joint was not obvious until I applied slight fingertip pressure to the component lead on the front side of the board, you could then see the joint/lead move. I reflowed it and several others and it works fine. Repair was made about 5 years ago.

I had this same problem . Only it was also shorting out my dash lights . I found the problem in the window switches themselves . They pop out and you can pop the back of the switch off . They were full of dirt and grease causing them to short out. But after a bottle of electric cleaner on all th contacts ... All problems solved .

Maybe it will help
