My 7.50R16 G90's were fine with a 1 1/2 - 2" suspension lift and 2" body lift, no cutting needed.
Wheel spacers on the front help a lot with turning radius.

I think that guy with the Camel Trophy disco confirmed for me that they are actually 7.00-16. I've seen both mentioned, but I'm guessing the 7.50r16 were on the defenders and maybe series.... so you'll probably have to do... something... to make them fit. I think someone mentioned spacing the bottom of the panel out if you don't want to cut? I'm not sure I'm remembering correctly.

They were indeed 7.0x16 on the trophy, sorry!

We're talking about 31" tires here right? Seems like any 1.5" lift should be adequate. As Jafir mentioned, there's a write up in the Tech section on Dweb about pushing the rear quarter panels out to accommodate larger tires.

I run 235/85 which is a little taller and wider, plus 12mm extra offset from the wolf wheels and all I had to do before the lift was a camel cut.
