My wife and I are heading up to our property this weekend... probably gonna stay overnight to do some clean up and get away for a while. I'll take some pics. not exactly sure yet how I'm gonna set it up. Not to worried about it considering two years of my life were spent sleeping where no one could find me for weeks at a time. My wife on the other hand, well, she may need a little more comfort. It'll be fun

Thanks for the compliments Danny. I love my porsche.. .but like all porsches. If you do not take care to drive it regularly she gets mad and pee's on the floor. Currently awaiting a new water pump.

Default Check this rig out!

I spotted this rig in the parking lot of Montezuma Castle National Monument during my lunch break. They are on a round-the-world tour. Their website is Menrad-international.com...unfortunately it's in German and I couldn't get the English translation to open. I looked for the Menrads but couldn't find them...would have been nice to chat. MY rig is a little simpler...a D1 and a tent.

I don't have pics of this, but when I take the dog camping or off-roading, I fold up the rear seats and strap the kennel down using the rear seatbelts and a ratchet strap. I tuck my hi-lift jack in the space under the rear seat, tuck my tire iron between the folded up cushions, and slide a 5' long duffel bag full of recovery gear next to the kennel (strapped down via another seatbelt, lol).

For camping, I usually throw my wife's and my backpacks in there, we leave the Rover at a trailhead, and camp by a lake 10 or 20 miles in. Or just pitch the tent next to the Rover if we are feeling lazy. When we have kids, I'll probably need a roof rack so we can take the gear, the dog, and the kids without towing a trailer.
