Hi guys, new owner of 2003 Disco 2 TD5.
Current issue - no fuel level on the gauge. Replaced fuel pump and sender unit, but still no fuel level.
Measured resistancy on the pump unit and it shows ~78Ω so lets say ~40 liters, and it seems similar when lookin into tank, so this looks good.
Where should I look first? My guess is to check signal on the cluster end (probably need to remove gauge cluster to measure resistance in the connectors. Any helpful information appriceated.
Having to guess current fuel level is pain in the ***.
Unfortunately I don't, but found some info on the forums:
RAVE Electric Fuel gauge The fuel gauge is connected from pin C230-14 of the instrument pack to the fuel tank unit on a GB (Green black) wire. The fuel tank unit sends an earth input on a KB (Pink?-black) wire to pin C0230-13 on the instrument pack. The fuel tank unit sender is of the variable resistance type and the fuel gauge displays a value according to the input sent from the fuel tank unit sender.
